Do you know how to make the color of the smoke, lets say Baby Blue or A bright Green lets say? If you do would you be willing to tell me how? I am really wanting to make a couple of little videos with different colored smoke without having to use Premier Pro or Vegas Pro or something like that to do it.Want to change your daytime race to a nighttime event? How about adding some rain to make the asphalt a bit more slicker? We all know that weather conditions can create some dramatic races. I have tried doing this myself with AC but have not been able to figure out how to make the color of the smoke different. I know this is proabbly going to be a dumb question because it would probably eat alot of resources to do if it is possible, but in a couple of the other drifting games you can change the smoke to be a different color completely. This is the only smoke mod that has not made me drop any frames, I am getting 60fps (monitors max rate, and it has not gone below 59.9999. I am on a i5-750 with a 9ti (one is used for Physix only) and I am running triple 24″ monitors, 13gb pf ram (one of my other 4gb sticks went bad because of dropping it) so i have 4x4x4x1, and I have an ssd for os and a WD Black for storage 1tb. Thank You very Much!!!!! Finally a smoke mod that looks great and doesnt eat my not so great of a computers resources to run. Please post a comment bad or good its always appreciated and if you have issues or whatever please let us know maybe we can sort things out!

If you do not use Content Manager you can use JSGME.exe (included in the download file) you only need to copy the content of the folder into Assetto Corsa main install directory so the structure should be assettocorsa/MODS placing the JSGME.exe in the assettocorsa folder and run it, the rest is the same like in content manager! Using content manager u can click the CM automatic installation download button then go to > ‘CONTENT’ > “mods” > select “Smoke Mod” > click “enable” thats it!! PS: while i was at it anyways i also made the dust look more like actual dust instead of the mud like effect it had by default settings! InstallationĪnyways you can just install it as a mod so u can activate it and when deactivated it reverts back to the original files you were using.
Made the colors look more realistic but this could be further optimized maybe!
So hope this helps for any other people with older or mid end systems and/or (s)laptops! While thick smoke looks cool in replays, its also a big reason for frame drops, i tried to make it as thick as possible but still maintain some visibility (When there are 3 or 4 cars in front you can barely see something really, but you can see just enough i think lol)Īlthough this is a lightweight smoke mod it will drop some frames there is no way around too avoid that really, but i am now able to run it on my old raggedy rig lol. Downside of this smaller file is that quality might be lost a little, personally i do not see much difference but thought i mention it anyways. png files witch show thick smoke is the biggest reason for the frame drops. png file is 113 Kb i downsized it to 8,02 Kb. So in this smoke mod i tried to make it as lightweight as possible but in order to find a good balance between all those factors, meant sacrifices had to be made for instance the original.
